Trust, Alignment, And Adaptivity Must Be The Focus Of Your AI Initiatives

A satisfied customer should be the top priority for your artificial intelligence strategy. AI initiatives aimed at driving better customer experiences (CX) require more than advanced technology and data analytics. Your business operations won’t get better simply by adding AI to your tech infrastructure. Thriving AI projects depend on trust, alignment, and adaptivity. Technology and CX professionals must collaborate to further trust, alignment, and adaptivity when devising effective, sustainable, and scalable AI solutions: Trust is central to AI adoption by employees and customers. Today AI is a tool. Tomorrow AI will evolve into assistants at work and in our lives.…

An M&A expert says creator-economy companies need to look beyond influencers to grow

An M&A expert says creator-economy companies need to look beyond influencers to grow

Influencers, or people who make social content as a career, aren't the big growth opportunity in the creator economy, according to John Lambros, cohead of US technology at the M&A advisory firm Houlihan Lokey. They're never going to be great customers, and they can be volatile. Instead, look at companies that sell tools for content creation that service a wider swath of users, Lambros told Business Insider."We think this is going to impact everything from the influencer to the Fortune 100 company, and there's going to be a whole group of businesses and platforms in between that are really going to…

Dual-Channel Latent Factor Analysis Enhanced Graph Contrastive Learning for Recommendation

Dual-Channel Latent Factor Analysis Enhanced Graph Contrastive Learning for Recommendation

arXiv:2408.04838v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: Graph Neural Networks (GNNs) are powerful learning methods for recommender systems owing to their robustness in handling complicated user-item interactions. Recently, the integration of contrastive learning with GNNs has demonstrated remarkable performance in recommender systems to handle the issue of highly sparse user-item interaction data. Yet, some available graph contrastive learning (GCL) techniques employ stochastic augmentation, i.e., nodes or edges are randomly perturbed on the user-item bipartite graph to construct contrastive views. Such a stochastic augmentation strategy not only brings noise perturbation but also cannot utilize global collaborative signals effectively. To address it, this study…

mPLUG-Owl3: Towards Long Image-Sequence Understanding in Multi-Modal Large Language Models

arXiv:2408.04840v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: Multi-modal Large Language Models (MLLMs) have demonstrated remarkable capabilities in executing instructions for a variety of single-image tasks. Despite this progress, significant challenges remain in modeling long image sequences. In this work, we introduce the versatile multi-modal large language model, mPLUG-Owl3, which enhances the capability for long image-sequence understanding in scenarios that incorporate retrieved image-text knowledge, interleaved image-text, and lengthy videos. Specifically, we propose novel hyper attention blocks to efficiently integrate vision and language into a common language-guided semantic space, thereby facilitating the processing of extended multi-image scenarios. Extensive experimental results suggest that mPLUG-Owl3 achieves…

This Anker 3-in-1 MagSafe charging station is cheaper than ever right now

This Anker 3-in-1 MagSafe charging station , which is a discount of 20 percent. That’s actually a record low price for the popular charging apparatus. It’s also been built primarily to suit Apple devices. The big hook here is the “3-in-1” from the name. The Anker MagSafe can simultaneously charge an iPhone, Apple Watch and a pair of AirPods. That’s just about everything a modern Apple fan could need, aside from a gigantic harness to .AnkerThis particular charger made our list of the , and with good reason. It’s a MagSafe device, so it offers Qi2 wireless charging. This means that…

Secureworks Fills Australian Mid-Market Demand for Simplified Cyber Security Solutions

Secureworks is a U.S. headquartered publicly listed cybersecurity firm offering extended detection and response, XDR, technology, and services. Majority-owned by Dell, its XDR is marketed under the Taegis product brand. This year, the company launched a “ManagedXDR Plus” offering for mid-market customers seeking more tailored cybersecurity options at a reasonable price point. Secureworks CEO Wendy Thomas, who visited Australia in July 2024, told TechRepublic that the XDR offering was appealing to mid-market customers in Australia who may not have the budget or capabilities to build their own security operations centre but are concerned about the possibility of cyber attacks —…

esBPF: Stress-Testing compares Software-Offload with iptables

This article was written on Nov 29th, 2022. esBPF project has been over one year and it began with the idea that Is it worth filtering ingress packets on Software-Offload layer instead of Network Stack? Software-Offload is similar to Hardware-Offload, but it works in ethernet driver. Now time to do Stress-testing since its prototype was released and the comparison object will be iptables. Before walking through the article, let me define a few short terms against typing exhausting long terms, Long Term Short Term Raspberry Pi 3 Rpi3 Host Machine Host Testbed Host and Rpi3 are on link connection of…
