Rethinking global supply chains for a post-pandemic world

The pandemic revealed to us that while in theory, it’s great to have the option to purchase goods from anywhere in the world, these supply chains are actually overly complex and susceptible to breaking down.

Through the COVID lockdowns, we saw demand for necessities like toilet paper soar, and manufacturers were unable to meet and distribute this good to those who needed it most.

In this episode of In the Arena, we examine how global manufacturing and distribution of goods operates for industries worldwide, and how easily this process can become disrupted by worldwide events.

We made this video series, In The Arena, in partnership with Arena Hall, a community that explores ideas, tells stories, and funds projects–all to advance American ideals.
