Starburst CEO Justin Borgman joins the Big Data Debrief to talk about the latest industry trends in table formats, Trino and Starburst’s cloud offerings — and maybe just a little bit of Hadoop for good measure.
Borgman began his big data career in 2011 as a co-founder of Hadapt, which commercialized a Hadoop research project at Yale University. He joined Teradata in 2014 when it acquired Hadapt. He founded Starburst in 2017 to bring the Trino query engine (then Presto) to market as a cloud solution.
