Forrester’s recent AI Pulse Survey, Q2 2024, indicates that at least 78% of AI decision makers see generative AI impacting IT infrastructure and architecture.
But the landscape of AI applications is ever-changing. To make matters more challenging, the need for data to flow across distributed systems can slow down its availability and usability for AI applications. Technology architecture leaders need to find ways to effectively process, analyze, and utilize constantly changing data spread across various systems.
To help clients prepare their data for AI, Forrester considers three key competencies to help develop a plan of action:
- Partners. Understanding the talent needed to handle new use cases and adopt new technologies – both inside and outside the organization.
- Practices. Establishing the data strategies, processes, governance, and resources needed for aligning data and AI with business needs.
- Platforms. Engineering the capabilities for collecting, validating, and cataloging data, building data pipelines, and creating user interfaces for self-service AI capabilities.
If this issue resonates with you, Forrester will be holding a workshop to tackle this challenge at Forrester’s Technology & Innovation Summit North America, which will be held on September 9-12, 2024 in Austin, TX.
Join us on Wednesday, September 11, for a workshop with Zeid Khater, Jayesh Chaurasia and Chris Gallacher. During this session we will use our Connected Intelligence Maturity Assessment to help attendees understand their readiness and address their gaps effectively.
Feel free to check out the agenda and register here.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
