Nvidia's Jensen Huang and Mark Zuckerberg traded jackets and compliments while talking about AI

During Monday’s SIGGRAPH keynote, the CEOs — part of tech’s latest bromance — concluded their conversation about AI (and Zuck’s preferred way to slice tomatoes) with another “jersey swap.”

The latest outfit exchange is a sequel to their viral swap in March, when in a photo posted to social media, the Meta chief donned Huang’s iconic black leather jacket, while Huang sported the brown coat Zuckerberg wore during a trip to Asia.

This time, Zuckerberg gifted Huang another black leather jacket, though this one was bulkier and had a hood similar to Zuckerberg’s brown coat.

“Is this me?” Huang asked as he put on the jacket.

“It’s a vibe,” the Meta CEO replied. Zuckerberg later said he’d bring Huang a gold chain so the pair could match.

In return, Huang gave Zuckerberg the black leather jacket off his back.

“This is worth more because it’s used,” Zuckerberg joked.

Both Huang and Zuckerberg are known for their signature styles, though Zuckerberg’s fashion switch-up is as much a business strategy as it is a personal expression of style, the CEO revealed during Monday’s conversation with Huang.

Zuckerberg — who recently made headlines for transforming from hoodie-wearing executive to streetwear fan — discussed how he believes fashion will become an integral part of Meta’s strategy to sell augmented reality glasses.

Meta began a partnership with glasses giant EssilorLuxottica to introduce a partnership with Ray-Ban for its AI-powered smart glasses.

Zuckerberg told Huang that while the glasses were too thin to “quite fit all the tech that you need for full holographic AR,” the strategy was to make them stylish enough that people would want to wear them in public.

“The goal there has been: OK, let’s constrain the form factor to something that looks great,” Zuckerberg said.

The Meta CEO also revealed that he’s looking to become a “style influencer” for his glasses — which is the reason he’s been sporting the oversized plain T-shirts. Zuckerberg hinted that he might be changing up his one-note style soon.

“I feel like if a big part of the future of the business is going to be building stylish glasses that people wear, this is something I should probably start paying a little more attention to. So, yeah, we’re gonna have to retire the version of me that wore the same thing every day.”

Following his talks with Huang, Zuckerberg posted a video of him trying on a large gold chain gifted to him by rapper and singer T-Pain. played in the background as he showed off Meta’s Segment Anything AI research model. The AI model, released Monday, allows users to isolate objects across multiple video frames.

“The other one wasn’t big enough, so this one, I mean, is a vibe,” Zuckerberg said, putting on the chain while the song “Buy U a Drank” played in the background.

Nvidia and Meta did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
