Group Rows and Concatenate Cell Values

Group Rows and Concatenate Cell Values

Problem description & analysis: Here is a categorized detail table: We need to group the table and concatenate the detail data using the semicolon. Solution: Use SPL XLL to do this: =spl("=E@b(?.groups(~1;concat(~2;$[;])))",A2:B9) Enter fullscreen mode Exit fullscreen mode As shown in the picture below: Explanation: E@b function converts the two-dimensional table to a sequence. ~1 represents the first sub-member of the current member; and $[] represents a string. Large Language Model as an Assignment Evaluator: Insights, Feedback, and Challenges in a 1000+ Student Course

Large Language Model as an Assignment Evaluator: Insights, Feedback, and Challenges in a 1000+ Student Course

arXiv:2407.05216v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: Using large language models (LLMs) for automatic evaluation has become an important evaluation method in NLP research. However, it is unclear whether these LLM-based evaluators can be applied in real-world classrooms to assess student assignments. This empirical report shares how we use GPT-4 as an automatic assignment evaluator in a university course with 1,028 students. Based on student responses, we find that LLM-based assignment evaluators are generally acceptable to students when students have free access to these LLM-based evaluators. However, students also noted that the LLM sometimes fails to adhere to the evaluation instructions. Additionally,…

A former Bill Clinton advisor says it’s ‘inevitable’ that Biden drops out

A former advisor to Bill Clinton doesn't think President Joe Biden will be on the ballot this November."I don't predict things. I'm just telling you it's inevitable," James Carville, 79, told NewsNation's Chris Cuomo on Monday."He will come to the conclusion. People will get the message to him. He will understand. His family will understand," Carville, who is best known for masterminding Clinton's winning presidential campaign in 1992, said of Biden.Calls for Biden to drop out have grown following his disastrous performance at last month's presidential debate with GOP rival, former President Donald Trump. The 81-year-old's stumbling responses at the…

Towards Context-Aware Emotion Recognition Debiasing from a Causal Demystification Perspective via De-confounded Training

Towards Context-Aware Emotion Recognition Debiasing from a Causal Demystification Perspective via De-confounded Training

arXiv:2407.04963v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: Understanding emotions from diverse contexts has received widespread attention in computer vision communities. The core philosophy of Context-Aware Emotion Recognition (CAER) is to provide valuable semantic cues for recognizing the emotions of target persons by leveraging rich contextual information. Current approaches invariably focus on designing sophisticated structures to extract perceptually critical representations from contexts. Nevertheless, a long-neglected dilemma is that a severe context bias in existing datasets results in an unbalanced distribution of emotional states among different contexts, causing biased visual representation learning. From a causal demystification perspective, the harmful bias is identified as a…

Apple TV’s new Time Bandits show just got a glorious trailer and a July release date

Apple’s Time Bandits remake , which is actually more than a year before Apple TV+ started pumping out content, but we haven't had much by way of actual details. That changed today with a trailer, release date and a whole lot more. The upcoming adaptation of Terry Gilliam’s classic 1981 film will be a ten-episode series that premieres on July 24.The creative team is top-notch and just about perfect for a reimagining of Gilliam’s dark and hilarious time-twisting fairy tale. It’s being helmed by the dynamic duo behind the film What We Do in the Shadows, Jemaine Clement and Taika…

BadCLM: Backdoor Attack in Clinical Language Models for Electronic Health Records

BadCLM: Backdoor Attack in Clinical Language Models for Electronic Health Records

arXiv:2407.05213v1 Announce Type: new Abstract: The advent of clinical language models integrated into electronic health records (EHR) for clinical decision support has marked a significant advancement, leveraging the depth of clinical notes for improved decision-making. Despite their success, the potential vulnerabilities of these models remain largely unexplored. This paper delves into the realm of backdoor attacks on clinical language models, introducing an innovative attention-based backdoor attack method, BadCLM (Bad Clinical Language Models). This technique clandestinely embeds a backdoor within the models, causing them to produce incorrect predictions when a pre-defined trigger is present in inputs, while functioning accurately otherwise. We…

Decode the 10K Resistor Color Code Like a Pro!

Decode the 10K Resistor Color Code Like a Pro!

Discovering the secret language of resistors, particularly the 10k resistor color code, is like cracking a cryptic code. Think of resistors as traffic wardens for electrons in an electrical circuit. They control the flow of current and lower voltage levels within circuits. To put it in a more relatable way, they're like the speed bumps on your neighborhood roads, slowing down speeding cars (or in this case, electrons). Consider this: you're building a model car for your kid. You'll need resistors to ensure the mini lights in the model don't burn out due to excess voltage. Thus, resistors are a…
